Toward Evience-Informed Practice (TEIP) - Learning Modules
This web site and multimedia was designed for and in collaboration with the Ontario Public Health Association in 2006 for the purpose of "improving existing or new health promotion programs and describe by best available evidence and research". The Toward Evidence-Informed Approach team, along with Ruta Valaitis and myself are currently developing Learning Module 2 for release in 2010.
Microsoft Excel - Level 1 Learning Modules Prototype
This is a collection of interactive software simulation learning objects that I designed in 2007 to accompany a Level 1 Microsoft Excel course. In absence of a formal Learning Management System for delivery, this couse was designed as an instructional web site and multimedia project using a mashup of web applications. Course content is based on the CCI Learning Solutions, MasterTrak Standard courseware. The full development of week 2 of the course is a prototype and showcase for how software courses could be designed and delivered for e-Learning.
LearnLink (FirstClass) Help Videos
This site was designed in 2007 and contains a collection of demonstrational help video I created to help faculty, staff and students use LearnLink (FirstClass) client software for use in the McMaster, Mohawk, Conestoga BScN Program. This resources is a work in progress.
Tailoring Online Health Promotion: A Toolkit for Communities
Web site design in 2007 for Public Health researchers Dr. Ruta Vailatis, Dr. Linda O'Mara, Sherri Bezaire and Rachel Savage to "share their learning and experiences in working to build a health promotion web site (www.youthspark.ca) to meet local needs by and for rural youth in Huron County, Ontario Canada".
Core Competencies for Public Health in Canada — Orientation Module
Web site and multimedia designed for and in collaboration with the Ontario Public Health Association and Public Health Agency of Canada in 2009 to "increase engagement and discussion around the draft core competencies for public health which are grouped into 7 domains".
CASN, Pandemic Planning Lectures
Web Site designed in early 2007 for the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) as resources for Pandemic Planning at Schools of Nursing in Canada. "The purpose of this site is to share with schools of nursing and other interested stakeholders a summary of resources and presentations that were recorded during a Pan-Canadian meeting regarding pandemic planning issues for schools of nursing".
Developing a Reasearch Question and Searching for the Evidence
Web site and multimedia designed and developed in collaboration with with Liz Bayley and Alba DiCenso from McMaster University's Health Sciences Library and School of Nursing as a learning resource for providing Nursing students with audio and visual examples of how to search for research evidence and implent to practice.
